Honduran international Roger Espinoza has been thrown into the deep end of first team football since arriving from Kansas City.

The combative midfielder has played in the cup against Bournemouth and was given his first league start last night starting the 2-2 draw with Stoke City.

Speaking after the game Espinoza said: “It was a tough game and they had some big guys, it’s probably the biggest team I’ve ever seen.

“I’ve never played against guys like that who are all about two metres tall and really strong.

“They’re a good team and what they do works for them in the way that they scored their two goals but it’s just a good thing we bounced back.”

Espinoza's displayshave won him praise during his short time in England and it is expected that he will start again in Saturday's crunch game with Southampton at the DW Stadium.
