Montrose Joins Dale

Promising Wigan Athletic midfielder Lewis Montrose has joined Rochdale on loan until the end of the season as manager Steve Bruce aims to give the 19 year old experience of first team football.

Figueroa in line for Pompey start

With the injury to Erik Edman and the suspension of Jason Koumas, Saturday could well see Honduran international left back Maynor Figueroa make his Wigan Athletic debut.

Edman injury confirmed

The club have today confirmed that Swedish defender Erik Edman will be out of action for six months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in the 3-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

Edman could be out until October

Erik Edman will learn today the extent of the damage caused to his knee ligaments after his injury at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. The Swedish full-back may be out until October.
