West Brom have rejected Wigan's close to £3million bid, dismissing it as totally inadequate. The Baggies want to get back the full £3million they paid 18 months ago.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Wigan will have to significantly increase their offer if they hope to sign the 25-year-old form Latics striker.
Mowbray said:"If people want to go then fine, but business is business.
"Nobody will be leaving West Brom unless the right business is done and the right terms are agreed that suits this club."
Knowing Jewell's past of not paying over the odds for players, it looks more than likely that the Duke will not be returning.
