Arjan De Zeeuw could well have joined the squad in time for clash on Sunday. A fee of £100,000 has been agreed between the two clubs and the Dutchman can't foresee any problems with the transfer.

“Obviously the season kicks-off for Wigan on Sunday, but hopefully it will all be sorted before then. I’ve got a year left on my contract at Portsmouth and they have offered me a one year extension.
“But I want to come back to Wigan and hopefully it will happen. I loved my time at Wigan. It was a hard decision to leave, but coming back now would be the perfect move for me.”
The defender has agreed personal terms and passed his medical. The move is expected to be completed early Thursday morning.
