Defender Andreas Granqvist has joined his former club Helsingborgs on loan after a lack of match action under Steve Bruce. The Latics manager has promised that Granqvist does have a future with the club.
The loan switch will last until the end of the season as the 22 year old defender aims to achieve a place in the Sweden squad for the European Championships this summer.Speaking about the move, Latics boss Steve Bruce told the Official Website: "This is by no means the end of the road for Andreas as far as this club is concerned.
"He's a good young player with plenty of potential. However, with the European Championships coming up in the summer, he needs first-team action to have a chance of getting in the Sweden squad."
