Emile Heskey last night scored on his debut for Aston Villa following his £3.5 million move from Wigan.

The 31 year old striker started the match for Martin O'Neill's men and scored what proved to be the winning goal for his new side as they ran out 1-0 winners over Portsmouth.

Heskey's 21st minute strike was enough to seal victory for the Brummies at Frattion Park.
