After beat El Savador 1-0 this week, Honduras have qualified for the World Cup Finals in South Africa this summer. The first time the country have made the finals since 1982.

Current Latics players Maynor Figueroa and Hendry Thomas, and former player Wilson Palacios will make the trip this summer.

Honduras managed a fantastic third place finish in their group behind the USA and Mexico and ahead of Costa Rica on goal difference.

This is fantastic news for Honduran football which continues to grow in stature.
