Landzaat Dissapointed

By Liam Cooper
Wednesday, 10th January 2007
Denny Landzaat has been left dissapointed when quotes from an article published in Holland were taken out of context.
Earlier in the week Landzaat was quoted saying hewas unhappy with Wigan's
Landzaat mis-quoted
style of play and tactics, claiming to be sick of the long ball tactics Paul Jewell uses. This turned out to be completely untrue, with Landzaat being mis-quoted.

Landzaat told the Official Website: "There was a story in the press in Holland which has upset me and I have been misquoted. The quotes have been taken totally out of context."

The Holland Internation went on to admit it has taken him longer than expected to come to terms with English football, due to the difference in play to Holland football.

"I always knew it would take time, and I know that the Wigan fans have not really seen the real Denny Landzaat yet. Other teams are in your face from the first whistle and there is a lot less time on the ball.

"The Premiership is the best competition in the world, and I would be a fool to want to leave. I am a determined to be a success in this country and I will do everything in my power to do that."
