Maynor Figueroa has become the first January signing for the Latics after his loan move from Olimpia was today made permanent.
Figueroa has signed for a fee believed to be in the region of £500,000 and has agreed a three year deal with the club.The twenty-five year old Honduran has made the left back spot his own at the JJB Stadium after his debut against Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo at the tail of last season.

Whilst Steve Bruce added: "He has done well for us this season and is now getting used to the rigours of the Premier League. I think he can go on to have a great career with us. He's strong, quick and powerful and I think the best is yet to come from him."
