Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has sent out an early warning shot to the Latics ahead of his sides Champions League clash with Liverpool. The outspoken Portuguese commented that Saturday's game at

Stamford Bridge is more important for his side than the Champions League clash tonight (Tuesday).

"I would prefer to beat Wigan," Mourinho said, "because to be first or second has no consequences while beating Wigan means three more points in the direction of the Premiership. In the Premiership, the best team win and if we don't win it, we have to accept that somebody was better than us over 38 matches."
