Burnley have today revealed that both Wigan Athletic and Hull City were in for David Nugent before his move to Turf Moor.
Burnley's operations director, Brendan Flood said of Nugent: "He is as good a signing as we could have got."There was quite a bit of negotiating involved with Portsmouth and getting David in, because there was competition from Hull City and Wigan, but he chose to come to Burnley."
Meanwhile former striker Henri Camara is set to join Portsmouth after agreeing personal terms with the South coast club.
