Both Micah Richards and Martin Petrov will be missing for Manchester City on Saturday as the Latics aim to become only the third side this season to win at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Wide midfielder Petrov will be missing following on from his red card in the 2-0 defeat against Everton. He was sent off late on in that game for kicking Everton midfielder Leon Osman.

Meanwhile Micah Richards will miss the game after an operation to repair damaged cartilage in his right knee. The 20 year old defender could be out for upto six weeks.

City have lost only two home games all season and they have come in their last two encounters. Both Arsenal and Everton giving hope to sides travelling to Eastlands after their recent victories.
