The Sun is today reporting that the Latics have completed a deal to sign Necaxa striker Hugo Rodallega Martinez for a fee of around £4 million.
The Sun quotes a Wigan source as saying: "It's all agreed. The player will arrive on January 7. He fulfils the permit criteria and has only missed two games for Colombia through injury."Hugo is terrific and has all the attributes to be a success in England."
With the rumoured addition of Martinez, it is not believed that Heskey will be leaving the club, despite interest from Liverpool and Aston Villa.
