Chief executive Brenda Spencer has spoken of her stresses and strains on the final day of the transfer window as the Latics lost out on at least two fronts.
Moves for Ferrie Bodde of Swansea and Alvaro Rubio of Real Valladolid were rejected on Tuesday, whilst there were rumoured offers for Celtic striker Scott MacDonald and Crystal Palace youngster Victor Moses.Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Spencer said: "We were trying extremely hard to bring in three players but nothing materialised. It's frustrating when that happens."
