It would appear that there are rivals to the throne, that is, if there actually is a throne. For anyone who is actually interested, the half a million figure quoted here yesterday was the number of hits...
... to the main page of the site during the month of January.
If this is going to turn into a competition of who can generate the biggest number then there is only going to be one winner.
Take a moment to visit the best messageboard on the internet, or read the top class, up-to-date, original content contained in our news and opinion articles, or the fact that we can spell the word speak and do not alter it to the way it is said in that there B****n. Consider the fact that we write regular columns for opposition official websites, The Times, The Guardian and The Observer to name but a few.
In fact forget all the persuasive mumbo-jumbo and just take a look at the hard facts. It is at this point that the actual number of page views generated by the WIGANER.net site is needed.
As mentioned before, the half a million figure which was broken yesterday is the number of page views generated to the homepage of the site throughout the month of January. If we want to factor in those visitors scabbed through a snazzy headline on Newsnow, or even the top drawer populators of the messageboard this figure in fact becomes just over 4.4 million pages generated.
Just proof that you are on the busiest unofficial Wigan Athletic site on the internet… or are you?
Anyway, it has been proved for years, there is room for more than one Wigan Athletic site on the internet, lets just not get silly about the numbers.
