Steve Bruce has confirmed that Honduran international Hendry Thomas will join Wilson Palacios and Maynor Figeuroa at the JJB Stadium next season after a fee of 1 million euros was agreed for the midfielder.

Bruce told the Wigan Observer: "He's been highly recommended and we've been out there. He's the captain of the Olimpia team.

"We believe he's got massive potential. If he's half as good as Palacios and Valencia we'll have a real player on our hands."
